Bogomir Horvat, attorney at law, LLM

Mr Horvat was born in 1962 in Postojna. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Ljubljana in 1986 and then started working for Elektroakustika in Sežana. In 1988 he became a judicial trainee at the High Court of Koper. After passing the state bar examin December 1989, he began working as a law clerk in the investigation department at the Koper Unit of the Court of the First Instance in Koper. In July 1990 he was elected as judge in civil matters, and in September 1993 he became head of the aforementioned division.  In January 1996 he was appointed Vice-President of the District Court of Koper. He remained in that position until 2002, when he was elected President of the District Court of Koper, where he served until 2008, when he decided to become a practicing attorney.


As an attorney, he mainly deals with civil law (in particular family law, the law of obligations, realestate and the law of succession), and penal and commercial law. In his long-spanning judicial career, he worked primarily as a civil judge and also as an investigative judge. In July 2002 he received his master’s degree (in the field of civil law) from the Faculty of Law of the University of Zagreb. He has published a number of expert papers in different professional journals, and was also a lecturer on the law of obligations at the Faculty of Management in Koper for a number of years.  He uses English, German and Croatian in his work.

Tina Boštjančič

Ms Boštjančič was born in 1985 in Kranj. She graduated cum laude from the Faculty of Law at the University of Ljubljana in 2011.  From April to October 2011, she was head of the legal department at Avetina d.o.o., before joining our law firm in October 2011. She is enrolled in doctoral studies at the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana. In 2014 she passed the examination from the General Administrative Procedure Act and in January 2015 passed the state bar exam. As an attorney, she mainly deals with civil law (in particular the law of obligations, substantive law and the law of succession), and penal, commercial and administrative law. She uses English, French and Croatian in her work.

Andrej Batista

Mr Batista was born in 1983. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Ljubljana in 2007. From January 2008 until the end of 2010, he worked as anassociate in one of the largest law firms in Slovenia. After passing the state bar examin June 2011, he began working at the District Court of Ljubljana as a law clerk in the commercial department, where he was employed until October 2015. He joined our law firm in October 2015. He uses English and Croatian in his work.
